An environment that promotes learning
The department features the classrooms and practical labs you need in order to learn your craft. During the internship portion of your curriculum, the industry itself becomes a classroom as you build on-the-job skills.
Pummill Hall is located in the heart of the main campus. There is a visible sense of pride among the students as they are getting to experience a truly exceptional learning environment.
Carrie's Café is the popular, student-managed restaurant of the Department of Hospitality Leadership. Students enrolled in HSP 435 (Restaurant Management) design Carrie's menu, prepare and serve the food and market the restaurant.
Other resources to help you succeed
Expansive Meyer Library houses special collections and archives, including the only United Nations document repository in the state of Missouri. It also contains electronic classrooms, media labs and group study rooms as well as multimedia work rooms and stations.
This interactive space houses resources and expertise to support you in your studies. Through Bear CLAW services, you can access help with mathematics, science, technology and writing.
